Whose Body?:

The Singular Adventure of the Man with the Golden Pince-Nez

This Golden Age classic is the first of Dorothy L. Sayers' famous Lord Peter Wimsey stories. In it, Lord Peter is introduced, along with his extraordinary mother, his eminiently sensible and relatable friend Detective Parker, his impeccable manservant Bunter, and, of course, some naked dead guy with a pair of expensive eyeglasses perched on his nose. Who could he be? And could there be any connection between him and the prominent financier who disappeared without a trace the day before?

We took this book on after Finn overheard a relative complaining about the posh British accents being used in an Agatha Christie book, which made it hard for her to understand. A quick check determined that of the three versions of this title on Audible.com, none were voiced by a narrator with a General American accent. So, we undertook to remedy the matter with our own edition.

As an extended audio sample, the first three chapters of this book are free to download, listen to, and share.

Together, these three chapters comprise a little over an hour of audio. The full audiobook is 5 hours and 8 minutes in length, so there is plenty more where this came from; if you like what you hear, we hope you'll head on over to your favorite audiobook vendor and buy a copy of your own!
